滿電電壓鎳氫、鋰電、鹼性各不相同，但肯定在8V以上，沒電一般為7V以下；
1.5V一次性電池（包括1.5V鹼性紐扣電池）：
滿電為1.6v左右，沒電為1.0V左右；
1.2v鎳氫、鎳鎘充電電池：
滿電為1.3V左右，沒電為1.0V左右
指針款：
紅色（RE-PLACE替換 或 RE-CHARGE充電）：如指示針指到此塊，則測試中的電池需要替換，或重新充電，也就是電池基本不能用了；
黃色（LOW）：電池電量很少了，但有些電器還可以使用
