點火系統
點火系統的作用是將蓄電池或磁電機輸出的低壓變成點火用的高壓電，並送至火花塞，使火花塞產生準時和強烈的電火花，點燃氣缸內的可燃混合氣，從而推動發動機的運轉做功。點火系統按提供點火的電源類型來分，可分為蓄電池點火與磁電機點火兩大類型。
摩托車點火器系統由磁電機點火線圈、CDI組件、點火線圈、觸發線圈和火花塞等組成。工作時，隨着磁電機飛輪的旋轉，點火充電線圈產生交流電。當飛輪上的觸發作用頭轉至觸發線圈對應的位置之前，CDI內部的可控硅處於截止狀態，點火充電線圈產生的交流電經二極管給電容器充電，使電容器兩端電壓急劇升高；到點火時間，觸發作用頭轉至與觸發線圈對應的位置，觸發線圈產生信號電壓，這一電壓經觸發電路到可控硅的控制板上，使可控硅導通。電容器放出的電流通過可控硅、點火初級線圈後，使點火線圈感應產生高壓電流，使火花塞放電點火。
