如果魚缸水較淺，面積又相對大，加溫的範圍只能是靠近加溫棒附近的水體，越遠的溫度越低，建議用過濾器，水循環越充分，水溫越平均；加溫棒只是給生物加溫，不是中科院做實驗的，上下有一到兩度的溫差，如需非常精準的，購買本品不合適。
